Mr. Gregorio D. Mercado, President and CEO of the Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company, Inc. (Philippine Prudential), was recently invited to speak at the Business Leadership CEO Series, hosted by the University of Sto. Tomas Graduate School of Business and attended by graduate students from difference disciplines.
Mr. Mercado’s lecture, entitled “Managing Risk: The Rationale for Life Insurance,” touched on several topics, including the history of the Philippine life insurance industry, the current profile and mindset of the market, and the steps being undertaken to ensure a strong and stable industry amidst prevailing challenges.
