Bulacan, Philippines -- Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company, Inc. (Philippine Prudential) President and CEO and La Salle Alumnus Gregorio D. Mercado was recently awarded by the De La Salle Alumni Association (DLSAA) for being among those who have contributed generously to nation-building as a Gawad Kalinga (GK) Partner. Likewise, his son, Philippine Prudential Vice President and Head of Finance Gregorio E. Mercado, Jr., also a La Sallian, received the same distinction.  The awarding was held during the formal launch of the partnership between DLSAA and GK called “Partnership Towards Nation-Building” held at Gawad Kalinga’s Enchanted Farm in Angat, Bulacan.

Philippine Prudential Settles Million-Peso Claim to Group Client

Manila, Philippines – The Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company, Inc. (Philippine Prudential) recently settled a 1.5 Million Peso claim to LCR Remarkable Management & Insurance Services, the employees of which are covered by the Company under its Care Group Product, a yearly renewable-term group insurance policy, and a Group Accidental Death and Dismemberment (GADD) plan.   

Since its establishment in 1963, Philippine Prudential has remained steadfast in its commitment to protect Filipino families everywhere.  For the year 2013, the Company recorded 164 Million Pesos in Total Claims Paid — a testament to its continued capability to meet its financial obligations to its Policyholders, now totaling over 1.8 million.

(Philippine Prudential) recently turned over a death claim to the family of an Overseas Filipino Worker who unexpectedly passed away while abroad.  The insured had purchased a LABB Plus product, an affordable yearly renewable term insurance, at one of the Company’s Retail Sales Offices in 2012.
